How do I know that my credit card details are safe? We use HTTP Secure Socket Layer protocol (HTTP/SSL) which is the industry standard for secure encrypted communication over the Internet. Your credit or debit card data is secure because it is encrypted using "128bit encryption". When you connect to the secure financial part of the site you will see a padlock at the bottom of your screen. SSL stands for Secure Sockets Layer, a technology developed by Netscape Communications Corporation. It enables your credit card details to be encrypted when you send them to us. "128bit encryption" is the highest level of encryption available on the internet today. |
| How do I place books in the shopping cart? By clicking on the Add to Basket button. When you hit this button, you will be asked to confirm that you want to add that particular book to your basket. When you click on the OK button, you will be brought to your cart page where you can view the contents of your basket. Click the Continue Shopping button to carry on browsing. If you're ready to check out, click the Checkout Now button and fill in your credit card and shipping details. |
| Can I remove books from the shopping cart? Yes, at any stage before you check out you can remove books you have chosen, or decrease or increase the quantity. Check the contents of your shopping cart at any stage by clicking on the View Basket button on the top left hand corner of the screen. To remove book/s, simply click on the Remove Item button. |
| Can I cancel my order? Yes. Please send us an email to bookshop@salmonpoetry.com, quoting your name, address, and details of the book/s you have ordered. |
| Can I pay for books using my own currency? No. We only charge in Euro. For your convenience, however, we have included a Currency Converter which you can use to get an up-to-the-minute currency conversion. |

| When
I use the Add to Basket button to add books to my basket, they don't seem
to appear in the basket! To use this site you must have cookies
enabled. A Cookie is a small file which is downloaded to your computer
which holds details of the books that you are adding to your shopping
basket as you browse through the bookshop website. The Cookies that we
download to your computer do not contain personal information and automatically
expire once you have finished using a session. To enable cookies in Microsoft
Internet Explorer for PCs select the Tools menu and then select Internet
Options. Now select the Security tab and click on Custom Level. Scroll
down until you see the Cookies settings. Ensure that all of the option
buttons are set to Enable. To enable cookies in Microsoft Internet Explorer for Apple Macs select the Edit menu and then select Preferences. Under the section heading "receiving files" there is a drop down menu with options. Make sure that you have either "Never Ask, "Ask for Each Site" or "Ask for each Cookie" selected. To enable cookies in Netscape Navigator select the Edit menu and then select Preferences. In the Preferences window, double click on the Advanced menu and then select Cookies. Ensure the "Enable all cookies" option is selected. |
