Patrick Chapman was born in 1968. His other poetry collections are Jazztown (Raven Arts Press, 1991), The New Pornography (Salmon Poetry, 1996) and Breaking Hearts & Traffic Lights (Salmon, 2007). He has also written a collection of short fiction, The Wow Signal (Bluechrome, 2007); an audio drama, Doctor Who: Fear of the Daleks (Big Finish, 2007); and an award-winning film, Burning the Bed (2003), which he adapted from his own published short story. Directed by Denis McArdle, the film stars Gina McKee and Aidan Gillen. In 2003, he won first prize in the story category of the Cinescape Genre Literary Contest. In 2006, he and Philip Casey founded the Irish Literary Revival website. He lives in Dublin.

Throughout her career, Galway poet Rita Ann Higgins's strong, clear poetic voice has challenged and revitalised literary norms. With her first publication, Goddess on the Mervue Bus (Salmon, 1986), she was instantly recognised as a powerful force for change. Witch in the Bushes (Salmon, 1988), followed in 1992 by the first edition of Philomena's Revenge, established her solidly in the public mind. Higher Purchase was Rita's fourth collection to be published by Salmon Poetry. She has also published several collections with Bloodaxe Books. |

Kevin Higgins was born in London in 1967, and grew up in Galway City where he still lives. He is co-organiser of the highly successful Over The Edge literary events. His first collection of poems, The Boy with No Face, was published by Salmon in 2005. | Alan Jude Moore
Dublin poet whose two collections of poetry to date have both been published by Salmon: Black State Cars (2004) and Lost Republics (2007). His poetry is widely published in Ireland and abroad and his
fiction has been twice short-listed for the Hennessy Literary Awards.
Translations of his work have been published in Italy and Russia.

Born in St. Louis, Missouri, Knute Skinner
has had a home in Ireland since 1964. He has taught at the University
of Iowa and at Western Washington University, where he was a Professor
of English. Retired from teaching, he lives in Killaspuglonane, County
Clare with his spouse, Edna Faye Kiel. He has published several books of poetry with Salmon, most recently Fifty Years: Poems 1957-2007 (Salmon, 2007). |

DRUCILLA WALL was raised in
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She received her B.A. from the University of
Wisconsin, her M.A. from the University of Nebraska-Omaha, and her
Ph.D. in English from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. She teaches
poetry and essay writing, and Native American literature, at the
University of Missouri-St. Louis. In addition to poetry, her essays
appear in journals and anthologies. She has earned awards and
fellowships for her work, including the Mar i Sandoz Prairie Schooner
Short Story Award, the Western Literature Association Willa Pilla Prize
for Humor in Writing, and University of Nebraska Fling and Larson
Fellowships. She lives in St. Louis, Missouri, and has spent summers
with family and friends in Wexford and Galway, Ireland, since 1985.Her debut collection of poetry, The Geese at the Gates, was published by Salmon in 2011.
